Michelin Meets Mexico, the platform forged between Michelin Mexico, the Robert Parker wine guide and Tablet Hotels, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the CANIRAC impulse
and the Conservatory of Gastronomic Culture of Mexico, prepare a series of events to promote the greats of gastronomy that have been recognized by Michelin and honor traditional Mexican cuisine. All this in order to promote the gastronomic and tourism sector in Mexico, combining gastronomic experiences with wine tourism, art and lifestyle.
On each of the dates, a chef recognized with Michelin stars will offer a menu paired with national and international wines, selected by the guide robert parker. The wine-producing houses will be present with the aim of knowing each of the wines in detail. The experience will be complemented with artistic and lifestyle experiences.
Art, gastronomy and cars
However, the next event that everyone is waiting for is the second edition of Michelin Chef Meets & Autoart, to be held on June 29 in Mexico City. It is a collaboration with Autoart World, and is classified as the most important car and art event in America. The event will offer an afternoon to enjoy the exhibition of luxury cars, gastronomy, wines, and the presence of 15 plastic artists who will intervene in the cars live.
Of course, the party couldn’t exist without music, so there will be guest DJs and big bands, as well as a light and fire show. For that moment there will also be a delight for the palate with a bar of spirits, cocktails, coffee and desserts.
Regarding the chefs, this time Alberto Ferruz (with 3 stars) and Emmanuelle Barón (with 1 Michelin star and 2 Repsol Suns) occupy the stellar places, both from Europe.
Tribute to Charito Cruz Cobos at Michelin Chef Meets & Autoart
However, one of the most anticipated presences is that of the traditional Mexican cook, rosary beads Charito Cruz Cobos, undisputed queen of roast suckling pig and part of the Association of Traditional Cooks of Oaxaca, who are dedicated to preserving typical recipes from the region. Cruz is originally from San José Chiltepec, since November 2022 her community received a certification that recognizes it as “Cradle of the roasted suckling pig.”
At Michelin Chef Meets & Autoart, Charito Cruz will offer his emblematic dish, roast suckling pig, together with the two Michelin chefs and four prestigious Mexican restaurants.

Mexican gastronomy will not be the only thing celebrated, all the details are designed to honor the rich culture of our country. For this reason, the Mexican company Folklórika will be dressing the chefs and work teams with exclusive designs that reveal the beauty of our essence and identity.

- Estiatorio and Harry’s prime steakhouse and Raw Bar, which is about to reopen in Masaryk.
- Phonic Bar
While the wines that will delight the palate during dinner will be the Spanish Remirez de Ganuza and Marqués de Murriet, both with DO Rioja; Finca Villacreces Pruno, with DO Rivera del Duero and; Tattinger Brut Reserve. There will also be the participation of the Mexican wine LA Cetto from the Mexican winery in Valle de Guadalupe, as well as the ultra-premium tequila Avión, which is distinguished by its stylized bottle, numbered by hand and signed by its founder, Ken Austin.

Other important dates of the Michelin Chef Meets & Autoart
Regarding the remainder of the year’s agenda, during 2023 a series of thematic experiences will be carried out in emblematic places in Mexico City and Cabo San Lucas. In each event, chefs recognized by the Michelin guide will serve paired menus made with national and international products at the following locations and dates:
- The Cape. Thompson Hotel, Cabo San Lucas. July 6 and 8, 2023. A gastronomic proposal that combines the best of Baja cuisine with chef Drew Deckman, traditional cook Edith Jimenez and chef Paco Morales (2 Michelin stars).
- Tablet. A Michelin Experience. CDMX. October 4, 5 and 6, 2023. A take over between Michelin Chef, Robert Parker Guide and Tablet Hotels in 3 luxury hotels in Mexico City.
- Michelin Chef Meets Monterrey. November 11 and 12, 2023. A tribute to northern Mexico and its gastronomy.
