Actor Michael B Jordan played Erik Killmonger in Black Panther, one of the most successful films in the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe.
Without a doubt, one of the most memorable villains of Marvel Studios is Erik Killmonger from Michael B. Jordan, since he has a tragic and shocking past and manages to defeat Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and become the leader of Wakanda. Although at the end of the film we see him die in the arms of his cousin T’Challa. Before that, the hero tells him that there may still be time to heal him. But the villain prefers to die before ending up in a cell.
So after the events of that movie, we presumed Erik Killmonger from Michael B. Jordan, although for some time there have been rumors of a possible return. In addition, the actor has always been willing to do so, as in a recent interview when he said:
“Man, I mean, I think it’s a character and a world that I love so much. Who knows? But as we all know, Marvel Studios has its plans and its things, and who knows how things are going to turn out.
The key question is: How could he return?
As we already know, Michael B. Jordan has re-interpreted Erik Killmonger in Marvel Studios in the series What if…? (What would happen if …?) although we must remember that in that story the characters are alternate realities of the main universe where the movies take place.
But… In the continuity of the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe, could Michael B Jordan return as Erik Killmonger? For now it seems very complex since we consider his character dead, but the T’Chaka (John Kani) the father of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) was able to talk to his son the astral plane. So maybe some character like Shuri (Letitia Wright) try to visit that place and instead of finding your brother, you might be Erik Killmonger. So you can serve as a spiritual guide and try to redeem yourself that way.
The movie Black Panther can currently be viewed at the Disney Plus streaming platform.
