The number of passengers transported on national and international flights in Mexico amounted to 78 million between January and September 2022, which exceeded the pre-pandemic levels registered in 2019, the Mexican Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) reported on Tuesday.

Of North American passengers, those traveling on domestic carriers increased 40.3% to 9.7 million passengers.

Meanwhile, the Asian market also saw a 286.8% rise in international flights to Mexico in the first nine months of the year, with 173,770 tourists.
