It has been pointed out that brands such as Bimbo and Tutsi-pop are the two food brands that Mexicans most associate with Christmas.
Almost half of Mexicans will seek to make early Christmas purchases during the 2022 edition of Buen Fin.
An economic flow of at least 195 billion pesos is expected during the cheapest weekend in Mexico.
The last couple of months of the year is the season of discounts, most anticipated by Mexicans, since it is during the months of November and December that companies and stores seek to offer the best products, either through events such as night sales, discounts for the season or in mega projects such as the irresistible End and the Good End, season in which Mexicans anticipate for the following year and Christmas gifts.
According to what was indicated by representatives of El Buen Fin, this initiative during its 2021 edition, in which there were seven days off, generated an economic benefit of more than 191 billion pesoswhich means a little more than 27.4 billion pesos in average sales per day, in addition to meaning 38 percent more than what was registered with the previous year.
Therefore, in the same way, it has been pointed out that during its 2022 edition, which will be from November 18 to 21, it generates an economic spill of just over 195 billion pesos, this due to the reopening almost entirely in all shops and businesses.
Mexicans prevent Christmas shopping during Buen Fin
In addition to this, part of the growing economic flow entered by Mexicans is expected to be due to their advance purchases for the rest of the year and Christmas gifts, since according to a study carried out by YouGov, just over 47 percent of Mexicans took advantage of the Good End to make these advance purchases.
In the same way, it has been pointed out that debit and credit cards will be the payment methods that overlap cash; however, a relevant piece of information found in the study is that the brands Bimbo and Tutsi-pop are the two food brands that Mexicans most associate with Christmas.
“Mexicans have a unique way of living the festivities and Christmas is no exception. With the data generated from YouGov, we can anticipate how Mexico will celebrate and enjoy these dates. At the same time, we can identify which are the brands that have remained in the top of mind in these celebrations. Having all this information allows brands to evaluate their strategies in search of effective and results-oriented communication”, commented David Eastman, Managing Director of Latin America at YouGov.
One of the best ways to take advantage of discounts is to prevent purchases, because it is through preparation that better investments can be made and therefore take care of family spending, in addition to knowing the payment methods in trend broadens the panorama on consumer behavior.
