A new study has revealed that, far from using Tinder, Mexicans now turn to Instagram to “flirt”, this being their favorite social network for such purposes.
With the advent of smartphones, it can be said that the digitization process officially began, since, in a certain way, this context allowed a large number of people to have access to the Internet.
In that sense, according to Ericsson datathe number of global smartphone users surpassed 6 billion in 2021 and is expected to continue to grow steadily over the next few years.
On the other hand, in Mexico, also taking into account the data for that year, the number of users of smartphones was approximately 84.4 million. In addition, it is expected that the number of users of these mobile devices will exceed 95 million in 2025, this, according to the study Statista Key Market Indicators.
From this perspective, it is clear that this type of device significantly changed people’s habits, thanks, of course, to the fact that they already have Internet access.
Taking these latest data as a starting point, communication between people, in addition to improving, had a much greater scope and over time it has evolved, to the point that, currently, situations such as looking for a partner , now, they can be carried out from the comfort of a smartphone.
Mexicans forget about Tinder; Now they “flirt” on Instagram, reveals a study
To this day, when we talk about Tinder, we are talking about the most important “flirt” application on the market, at least this is what we can deduce from the platform data App Magicwhich claims that the app amassed more than 78 million downloads in 2021.
Digitization has undoubtedly allowed the growth of this type of space that can currently be considered essential for people’s habits.
Information of data report reveals that 78.3 percent of the national population currently has access to social networks, a figure that represents 102.5 million of people in Mexico who make use of the various platforms of social media.
What’s this all about? Today, both in Mexico and in other countries, the use of mobile apps is more than essential and in times of Valentine’s Day or “Love and Friendship Day”, Tinder and the different dating apps seem to be the solution for a large number of users.
Nevertheless, For Mexican Internet users, beyond Tinder, Instagram has become their favorite platform to “flirt”, as revealed by a study by The Competitive Intelligence Unit.
More concrete data indicates that, with a 50.9 percent preference, Mexicans now “flirt” on Instagram; 47.2 percent chose WhatsApp; dating apps (Tinder, Bumble, etc.) have 41.3 percent preference; Facebook gained 39.4 percent.
Now, according to The CIU, Tinder is the most popular dating app with 72.7 percent preference, followed by Bumble (68.2 percent); Grindr (13.6 percent); Badoo 11.4 (percent); and Happn (6.8 percent).
