Along with the Nintendo Switch OLED, during the past week we saw the launch of Metroid Dread. After years since the last fully 2D original installment, fans have welcomed this new title. This is something that has not only been seen in the UK, but Japan has also done well for the title.
As is a custom every week, Famitsu has shared its list of the best-selling games for the last seven days, this time we are talking between October 4 and 10. In this way, in just a couple of days, Metroid Dread managed to sell 86,798 physical units. This number is likely to be larger when digital downloads are included.
According to the Game Data Library, Metroid Dread has had the best release in the history of the series since Fusion. Similarly, the 86,798 units position this delivery in the third place of the best-selling in the series during the last 20 years in Japan.

Editor’s Note:
As already mentioned, Metroid Dread it’s a great experience. All the praises are justified, and it’s nice to see that the public is accepting of this title. Hopefully this game becomes the best installment in the series, and this gives Nintendo the confidence to do more adventures starring Samus.
