The Metro Collective Transportation System reported that partially suspended service on Line 7 to review rail areaafter users reported smoke at the Barranca del Muerto station, apparently caused by a short circuit.
The Metro said that there is currently no service at the San Pedro de los Pinos, San Antonio, Mixcoac and Barranca del Muerto stations (terminal of the line) while personnel work. The operational line from the Rosario station to Tacubaya is maintained.
Several videos uploaded on social networks such as Twitter show how the platform of the Barranca del Muerto station was filled with smoke while users were being evicted.
Another video shows smoke coming from the station to the outside on Revolución Avenue.
Users also report that an explosion was heard in the last car of the train at the Barranca del Muerto station.
