In a statement, the company specified that the price of this option – which includes the two networks – will be 9.99 euros (191 Mexican pesos at the current exchange rate) per month on the web and 12.99 (248 pesos) in the telephone application, and which will apply in the European Union, Switzerland and the European Economic Area.
The statement does not mention the Whats App application, also owned by Meta and one of the most popular on the European continent (much more so than the United States).
The new payment option is implemented “to comply with developing European regulations“, although he emphasizes that he will continue to advocate “for an internet with advertising support”, so in the European space the two options – paid and free with advertising – will be available.
