Goal is immersed in the world of subscriptions. The verified one similar to that of Twitter (now X) was announced at the end of June this year. And now, the company run by Mark Zuckerberg offers an Instagram and Facebook package in which you can scroll through both social networks without seeing a single advertisement.
Therefore, we tell you all the details you should know about it. Different costs, locations and versions if you manage your networks from your computer or smartphone.
The first thing you should know is that this subscription is only available, for now, for Europe. Meta made the announcement about this package this Tuesday, October 31.
The subscription will be available from November 2023 and will be priced at 9.99 euros per month for the web version, while iOS and Android users will have to pay 12.99 euros per month.
Meta offers users the ability to use both social networks without personalized ads or relevant ads. This means that users will not see advertisements or posts that are based on their interests or browsing history.
In addition to removing ads, the subscription offers users some additional benefits, such as:
- Access to exclusive content, such as podcasts and live events.
- The ability to publish stories without a time limit.
- See stories from other users without time limit.
- Access to IGTV videos without ads.
Meta’s ad-free subscription is a response to new European Union regulations on data protection and digital markets. These regulations force technology companies to offer users the option of using their services without personalized advertising.
Sources close to Meta say that it is possible to launch this modality in Latin America and the United States.
