As we have already indicated there are lights and shadows in Windows 11. And, as reported by PCGamer and other means, Windows 11 has a memory leak problem. A problem that has been trying to solve from the beginning and has not been solved in time. However, based on the lack of reports circulating on the subject, it seems that users do not suffer from it as much, and that is good news.
How memory leaks happen in Windows 11
Some users through Twitter have reported problems with memory leaks in Windows 11. Most are simply distributing the existing reports and asking if the problem will affect them.
In the Windows 11 sub-Reddit there is only a post for the past 24 hours he talks about memory leaks, and is titled “Does anyone have the Windows 11 memory leak problem?”. It asks if users have experienced the problem, to which no one has given an affirmative ‘yes’. However, when one Redditor questioned the fear of a memory leak that was only discovered when performing a very specific and somewhat irregular task, another (/ u / AdvancedFollower) responded: “If you leave your PC in sleep mode and rarely restart it, it seems that eventually it will run out of RAM and have to restart the computer or at least the explorer process.”
The problem seems to happen when opening multiple instances of File Explorer. The memory used to open the explorer is not recovered and, if multiple instances are opened, we may be facing a problem. This will likely be fixed in the first patch next week as we have not seen that bug in the beta channel version of the Windows Insider program.
By this we do not mean that it is not something important. It is a problem that can be very serious and Microsoft will need to address it as much as possible. But before possible alarmisms in this regard, we have wanted to give adequate information so that you know what this problem consists of. But for those who wonder if the error is absolutely general and if the system is paralyzed, the answer is simple, it is not. It seems that this is not the case and that fortunately does not affect the majority of users.
