“It will be a spectacle for the Los Cabos public to see someone of Daniil Medvedev’s level play,” Fernández added about the Russian tennis player, who participated in the Mexican Open in Acapulco in February.
The British Norrie is the current champion of the Los Cabos tournamentin which the American John Isner, 27 in the ATP, will also play.
The Los Cabos tournament, which has been held since 2016 -except in 2020 when it was interrupted by the pandemic-, is a category 250 tournament that distributes 873 thousand dollars in prizes.
The tournament will be held at the Cabo Sports Complex, the venue inaugurated in 2021 when the tournament was held without an audience due to the pandemic. The complex has a main stadium with a hard surface court and capacity for 3 thousand 500 spectators.
