So the fast food company McDonald’s is working on a metaverse project to take its restaurants virtually and have the option to deliver physical food at home.
This information that is not yet official by the brand, but that arose from rumors on Twitter, by Josh Gerben, a famous lawyer who is dedicated to registering trademarks for important companies before the Institute of Intellectual Property of the United States of America.
The information revealed by Gerben ensures that the popular hamburger company “is preparing several projects for its entry into the metaverse, among which ten trademark applications stand out that indicate that it plans to offer a virtual restaurant with real and virtual products and operate a virtual restaurant with delivery service”.
Likewise, the lawyer explained that the request was filed since February 4, 2022 and one of the trademarks with a registration request is for “virtual food and beverage products” in the famous NFT format. Just as another brand will be to “operate a virtual restaurant online with home delivery.”

In another of his publications on the social network, he assured that entertainment services and events were registered under the McDonald’s and McCafe brands, including “real and virtual online concerts.”
“You’re hanging out in the metaverse and you’re getting hungry. You don’t have to put down your headphones. You walk into a McDonald’s and place an order. Arrives at your door a while later,” she tweeted.
