According to a statement, McDonald’s Mexico, 92.2% of packaging does not contain plastic. This is thanks to the replacement of straws, cutlery, cups and lids for Sundaes, among others, with packaging made of materials that reduce or completely eliminate the use of plastic.
“The McDonald’s System in Mexico, made up of Arcos Dorados and its network of franchisees, continues to advance in its commitment to evolve towards sustainable packaging by reducing the use of single-use plastic and using paper and cardboard from certified and 100% recyclable sourcesconsistent with its Social Commitment and Sustainable Development strategy ‘Recipe of the Future’“, it reads.
