The future of Xbox is very promising and proof of this is Fable, one of the many big Xbox exclusive releases for years to come. Since the announcement of the reboot in 2020, the details have been quite scarce, beyond some other rumors about the development, which would have already been 4 years behind Playground Games. So now, while we’re still anxiously waiting to see the first images of the new Fable, Matt Booty, the head of Xbox Game Studios, has spoken about this installment that will be incredible on Xbox Series X|S.
During the PAX West that took place a few days ago, in a special session, the head of Xbox Game Studios was talking about some exclusive Xbox games, such as the new Fable title. Although we met (via PureXbox) that Matt Booty is very excited to be able to show the new Fable to the worldthough Playground Games doesn’t seem to want to reveal anything just yet.
Will The Elder Scrolls 6 or the new Fable be released sooner? Phil Spencer replies
Matt Booty is very excited to be able to show the new Fable to the world
Part of my job is to cover the team, they don’t want to show things before they’re done, but there’s one installment in particular where every time I see something I’m like “we should show this”. That happens to me with Fable, because there are a lot of incredible things… The team is very clear about everything and we are not going to show anything until it is ready.
Playground has made Forza Horizon with incredible work and dedication, every bit of that will be applied to Fable as well. And let’s be honest, giving Fable to a team used to driving games could have been a headache, but they have shown that they have everything under control. I am totally excited and wanting to show you more.
Matt Booty seems to be in love with the new Fable, which we hope will be shown to the public sooner rather than later. Finally, we remind you that a few months ago, Phil Spencer surprised us with some information about the reboot, confirming that it will respect its legacy, thus maintaining the carefree qualities of the series and the British style, which we can see in some of its new concept arts.
