It may be that by now, after the countless number of delays that its premiere has suffered, you have already forgotten the existence of ‘Morbius’; the new spin-off of the cinematographic Spider-Verse starring the vampiric enemy of Spider-Man. But the people of Sony, aware of the possibility, have decided to remind us of the existence of the feature film with a final trailer that you can see below these lines.
A new piece in the Spider-Verse
After seeing its eerily familiar three-minute run, which includes a display of CGI artifice, information overload and one of those covers that destroys great songs – it was the turn of the Doors’ ‘People are Strange’ – I don’t have much hope in the production; but hopefully it will be another economic success for the study similar to that of ‘Venom 2’.
‘Morbius’, starring Jared Leto, Tyrese Gibson, Matt Smith and Adria Arjona —among others— will hit our movie theaters next April 1st -competing directly with ‘Sonic, the movie 2’- after having postponed its launch, scheduled for January 28 and displaced, according to gossips, so as not to divert attention from ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ in ticket office.
While we wait for the arrival of the good Michael Morbius in this story of origins, I leave you with the official synopsis of the movie.
“Doctor Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) is a biochemist who suffers from a strange blood disease. While trying to heal himself and provide an answer to his disorder, he inadvertently becomes infected with a form of vampirism. After the cure, Michael feels more alive as ever and gaining various gifts such as strength and speed, as well as an irresistible need to consume blood. Tragically turned into a flawed anti-hero, Doctor Morbius will have one last chance, but at what cost.”
