Judgment day is coming at Marvel and we will be able to see how the Avengers, the X-Men and The Eternals will face each other.
From Marvel We get the first details of the story that they have called Judgment Day, a scripted event Kieron Gillen and with the art of Valerio Schiti which will deal with a war between the Avengers, the X-Men and the Eternals.
Until now we didn’t have much information about this great event, but we know that it will start to be published in July and that it will continue the story of Eternals and Immortal X Men from Kieron Gillen and of the avengers from Jason Aaron. Therefore, the three super teams will collide in an adventure worthy of the most mythical of Marvel.
This is how all the characters arrive:
the x-men have achieved immortality, therefore the mutants have taken their place as the dominant species on planet Earth. While The Eternals They have uncovered long-hidden knowledge about their kind, including a devastating truth about the mutant race. However, The Avengers they have come into direct conflict with the Celestials and are currently using a fallen Celestial as their base of operations, slowly unlocking its secrets.
The conflict will start when The Eternals attack Krakoa, the nation where mutants live in peace. The Avengers They will try to prevent this war from turning into something apocalyptic, but it will be a very complex conflict. After the first battles, new characters and shocking revelations will appear as the inhabitants of the marvel universe they are judged by the greatest power with which they have been in contact.
“Despite all the Marvel instruments I’ve played, I’ve never written an event. Writing an event is something different.” He says Kieron Gillen. «It’s not like playing an instrument. It is to have all the instruments in the music store. That’s not like writing a song. It’s like writing a symphony.”
“I looked at everything in the Eternals and Immortal X-Men and everything else that all the X and Avengers writers have done and thought… yeah, this is an event.” The writer continues. “In fact, an event is the only way to do this justice. I want the balance. I want the anguish. I want a book that makes your heart shrink even when I put a fist in your face.”
