Marvel: Avengers 5 Reveals the Differences Between Thanos and Kang the Conqueror

the step of Thanos by the Cinematic Universe (MCU, for its acronym in English) is unforgettable for Marvel fans, but with the end of the Infinity Saga and in the preview of the start of Phase 5, we are about to witness the era of Kang the Conqueror.

Portrayed by Jonathan Majors, Kang first appeared in the Loki series as a variant identified as He Who Remains. This multiversal version of the first time traveler was killed by Sylvie on the show, sparking chaos in the Multiverse and the approach of the original Kang, Nathaniel Richards.

Although Kang will have a more leading role since Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which opens on February 17, 2023, it will be in Avengers 5, titled Avengers: Kang Dynasty, which will be released on May 2, 2025 and that will reveal in images the differences between Kang and the Crazy Titan.

Fortunately, however, the screenwriter of Avengers 5, jeff lovenessgave statements to Game Radarcited in a report published on the website of cinemascomics, in which he mentions how these great villains differ.

How are Kang and Thanos different?

For Loveness, the main difference weighed on Kang’s humanity: “For me it’s about humanity. Obviously, the Mad Titan is a great iconic villain, but he’s also a great purple CGI dude. He is an alien from outer space. What I really wanted to lean on is that this (Kang) is a human being.”.

Also, the Kang Dynasty screenwriter believes that The Conqueror will look like a lonely guy in the film, which could even show his vulnerability: “He is also a very lonely character. We’re going to be seeing a lot of him in many different ways in the future, but I really wanted to introduce the humanity and even the vulnerability of this character before he reaches such apocalyptic heights.”.

“He’s a top-tier, A-list Avengers villain. What do you do when you feel like you’re not enough against it? How do you meet the challenge of this generation, which is like the Mad Titan, but at an exponential level? It is almost infinite. I think we’re setting things up for a very dynamic story.”.
