What if Apple goes after Waze with its Maps app? In any case, this is the path that the Cupertino company seems to take if we are to believe the last beta of the future version iOS 14.5. Indeed, some users have reported a big change in the navigation application with the arrival of a button “Report”, or “Report” in French.
The latter, like its competitor, makes it possible to highlight the presence of an accident on the road, and even of a radar, thus adding a community aspect.
Apple wants to catch up on Waze with iOS 14.5
That’s it, Apple finally decides to add new features to its Maps navigation application: several American users have noticed the very important addition of a community aspect to it. Indeed, with the last beta available, it is possible to find a “Report” button which allows reporting an incident on the road, but also a speed camera.
Be careful though, there is no confirmation at the time of reporting, which is quite problematic in the event of an error: Waze, for its part, requests a double validation to report an anomaly.
Very good news despite everything!
