With more than 160,000 attendees, Rosalía’s concert at the Zocalo of the city of mexico it was considered a success for its logistics and safety. For this reason, the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, announced that two more mega-concerts are expected in the capital’s Zócalo.
In the same way as that of Rosalía and Grupo Firme, the president made it known that these will be free events, since the intention is that everyone who is interested can attend. Likewise, she commented that these mega-concerts are not the result of Rosalía’s, but that they were already scheduled as part of the Mexico City billboard for 2023.
Unfortunately, in the same way that it happened with the Rosalía concert, Sheinbaum did not confirm which bands or solo artists will perform, so speculation has begun. It should be noted that the most anticipated artists so far are Manu Chao and Bad Bunny; from the first it was mentioned that there are talks, while the second was called to give a free concert from the presidency of the Republic. Therefore, it might not be surprising that it was about them.
The head of government concluded the issue of the mega-concerts by saying: “as always, you have to wait for the times to say which groups they are.”
