Laughing achieves twice as much oxygen, natural hyperventilation that benefits the body in many ways.
From various studies, it is now known that when we laugh out loud, between 100 and 400 muscles are activated, better oxygenation is achieved, laughter is a powerful natural pain reliever, it activates hormones such as serotonin, dopamine and adrenaline, which produce a pleasant feeling of well-being and therefore it is an excellent way to combat depression, anxiety and stress.
But now, psychologists at the Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense have discovered that laughter also facilitates learning and observed that when children laugh, they learn better. And is that positive emotions increase dopamine levels at the brain level, a neurotransmitter involved in cognitive processes and at the cellular level, it fundamentally influences neurons in the prefrontal cortex, enhancing their excitability in the deeper layers, what which stimulates learning and facilitates cognitive processes.
In addition, a study conducted at Sam Houston State University found that students remembered the data better in a reading when the teacher included jokes related to the subject, proving that laughter also improves attention.
