Since its inception, 2K Games studio Hangar 13 has exclusively released games from the open world franchise, Mafia. His first project was Mafia 3, which was released to mixed reviews in 2016, and he then released Mafia: Definitive Edition in 2020, remastering the original game for modern consoles.
Now it looks like Hangar 13 might be making another game of Mafia as your next project, if a recent report is true. It was recently reported that Hangar 13 studio boss Haden Blackman was leaving, to be replaced by Nick Baynes.
According to the report, Baynes will take over the next game in the series. Mafia. Details remain relatively scant, but it is believed that the game is currently known by the codename “Nero”, and that while it will be the fourth main installment in the Mafia series, it will supposedly be a prequel.
The other detail mentioned in the report is that mob 4 It will be powered by Unreal Engine 5. This is especially significant, as it indicates that Mafia 4 will likely ditch older consoles in favor of more modern hardware.
This makes the yet-to-be-announced game especially impressive graphically and technically, but fans will have to see for themselves to be sure.
Unfortunately, it’s unclear when we’ll get to see Mafia 4. The game is said to be in a very early stage of development at Hangar 13, so it could be years before Mafia fans see it for the first time.
