Lynk & Co and Cyan Racing have officially presented their project for the 2022 campaign of the WTCR. The structure that defends the title of drivers and teams starts the new season with the aim of staying at the top of the championship with a Lynk & Co 03 TCR that debuts new livery for the occasion. All in all, the changes in the livery of the car are minimal, since it maintains the image based on cyan blue and yellow colors that have defined Cyan Racing cars, both with Volvo and Lynk & Co.
The novelty in the Lynk & Co and Cyan Racing project is that the structure features an expanded effort and will feature five Lynk & Co 03 TCRs on the grid instead of the four it has had in recent years. The Swedish team keeps in training the pilots who already defended their interests in 2021 and It also adds the presence of the Chinese Ma Qing Hua taking advantage of the regulatory change that allows three cars per teamnominating two drivers to score points for this competitive identity before each event.

During the test that Lynk & Co and Cyan Racing is completing at the Hungaroring, the structure has also confirmed the distribution of its drivers. Champion Yann Ehrlacher will defend the title won in 2021 under the Cyan Racing Lynk & Co team identity. The Frenchman will thus seek his third consecutive title and will do so counting again with his uncle Yvan Muller as companion. The champion remains faithful to the number 68 and will not use the number 1, while the veteran Muller goes back to the number 100.
For its part, Thed Björk, Santiago Urrutia and newcomer Ma Qing Hua will compete in the Cyan Performance Lynk & Co sub-team. For Björk, the 2022 season seems key after a very discreet campaign last year. Without so much pressure, but with the need to fight for the title, the Uruguayan Santiago Urrutia will compete again with the #12 number. Finally, Ma Qing Hua makes his return to the World Touring Car Cup with number #55 and with the aim of being among the best drivers in the championship.
The five Lynk & Co 03 TCRs that will be used by Ehrlacher, Muller, Björk, Urrutia and Hua present, according to the team statement, «an evolved version of the iconic cyan blue livery with yellow details who has led the team for more than a decade. In this case, five stripes are included that represent the five consecutive world titles that Cyan Racing has achieved. The color scheme also represents Sweden’s racing heritage.».
