Delaying aging is something that scientists have been researching for a long time. And recent investigations of the Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) made a breakthrough in mice. They go further and recommend some methods to stop old age and it was revealed that Luis Miguel is one of the artists who practices it.
Reaching the third age does not have to mean looking deteriorated skin and appearance. Science, through these investigations, certifies it and Luis Miguel applies it.
Recently the singer born in Puerto Rico, but more identified with Mexico, began a new tour in which he will perform some 56 concerts. It seems like an excessive challenge for a 53-year-old person, but without us realizing it, Luis Miguel has in his power the secret of reversing aging.
Reverse Aging, According to Harvard and MIT Researchers
As our cells age, they go from having unlimited potential as embryos to differentiating into only one specific cell type. Finally, they become senescent, running out of functionality.
That is old age. However, a team of scientists led by Professor David Sinclair of Harvard University finds about six age-reversing treatments that worked in mice. Now, they plan to start clinical trials with people.
“We identified six chemical cocktails that, in less than a week and without compromising cell identity, they restore a transcriptional profile of the whole juvenile genome and a reverse transcriptomic age”, the researchers point out in the article.
“Therefore, age reversal rejuvenation can be achieved, not only by genetic means, but also by chemicals.” they add.
The Harvard and MIT team looked at molecules known to “reprogram” animal cells into pluripotent stem cells. These can transform into any type of cell within an organism.
Besides that, according to review meteored, Siclair’s team urges treating this condition as a natural process and not as a disease. In this sense, he recommends three actions that we can all do at home and that will surely play in favor of rejuvenation.
- Intermittent fasting: consult your doctor or nutritionist.
- Increase the consumption of vegetables and water.
- Consume resveratrol naturally, which is found in foods such as red fruits, grapes, peanuts or blackberries.
