Announced earlier this year for Nintendo Switch and PC, Night School Studio and MVM Interctive have announced that Oxenfree II: Lost Signals is also coming to PS4 and PS5. It was the sequel to Oxenfree, a mystery adventure game with a powerful narrative section loaded with dialogues and important decisions throughout its history, a great success among critics and the general public.
The announcement has been made through the PlayStation blog in a special day of the brand dedicated to independent games. The main screenwriter and co-founder of Night School Studio, Adam Hines, says that the arrival of Oxenfree II: Lost Signals to PS4 and PS5 has been thanks to “popular demand” from the gaming community. In this same post, Hines makes a small review of the history of the game and its protagonist, Riley, and assures that for this sequel “you will use many of the same tools as the original Oxenfree, a narrative game that revolves around a robust conversation system and a radio that tunes in supernatural signals.
“I wish I could delve deeper into the story of the game, the characters and the villains and what happens if you go to the old mining town, Garland, and I want to show you all the weird things from time travel and what are the ‘Tears of time’, but the rest of the team is taking me away from the keyboard right now “, jokes the creative. Check out the small trailer shared by PlayStation to accompany the announcement.
At the moment, Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals does not have a specific release date, although the development team hopes to have it ready before the end of this year 2021. So far its release on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC is confirmed
