During the San Diego Comic-Con 2022, on July 23, Marvel Studios confirmed that the second season of Loki will premiere in the summer of 2023, so next year the God of Mischief will return to Disney +, but will be under the greatest threat in the history of the Cinematic Universe (MCU, for its acronym in English): Kang the Conqueror.
Of course, they will be back with total security in the cast Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Sophia Di Martino as Lady Loki/Sylvie, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueroramong others.
Next, let’s tell all the things you need to know for season 2which opens after the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania (February 17), in which Kang will play the villain.
The universe is governed by the TVA
At the end of the first season, Loki and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) came up with the idea of ending the life of He Who Remains, one of Kang’s variants, who warned them that if he was killed by other versions of him, more powerful and dangerous, they would go to take their place as master and lord of time.
After the event, Loki returned to the headquarters of the Time Variation Authority (TVA), and instead of being led by the Guardians of Time, it was commanded by Kang. The proof was the statues of Nathaniel Richards, the real name of the villain.
Loki’s multiverse
We can’t forget Kid Loki, Classic Loki, Boastful Loki, Candidate Loki and Alligator Loki, the latter being the Marvelites’ favourite. They are different Loki, but they are the same in each universe.
most likely let’s see variants of Thor’s brother again in season 2and why not, some that did not have a leading role in the first episodes, such as the Hulk Loki.

Kang the Conqueror, the great villain
In the entertainment industry there are protagonists and antagonists. In the MCU there are heroes and villains. But phases 5 and 6 of the MCU will have as an enemy of the superheroes a threat that is much more than a simple villain: Kang the Conqueror.
The most interesting thing is that Majors’ character will be introduced before as Kang in the third installment of Ant-Man and the Wasp, so the film and the Loki series will be connected. Recently, the first image of the villain in the original suit was leaked.
Nathaniel Richards is an extraordinary genius, a historical scholar, expert, and master physicist, time travel specialist, engineer, and technician. He is armed with 40th century technology, wearing highly advanced battle armor that enhances his strength.
