The legend of the loch ness monster seemed to have remained quaint or touristy region of Scottish Highlands. But there is a group of creature enthusiasts who are hell-bent on finding it in the depths of this water reservoir, devoting a brutal amount of scientific teams to try and turn the myth into reality.
To understand what this legend is about, you have to go back to 1933. Aldie Mackay, manager of the old Drumnadrochit Hotel, which was located in the vicinity of the lake, claimed to have seen a gigantic beast in the water.
Since then, millions of people have chosen this location in Scotland as their destination, either because of the beauties of the mountains that surround it, because of cultural interest related to this story, or because of a real belief that they may possibly see the Loch Ness monster.
A review of the website pbs reports that the Loch Ness Center He offered details of the objective of a group of researchers, who intends to find the monster. They specify that there is a whole movement with advanced technological equipment to certify if a creature actually sleeps in the depths cryptozoologicalas the legend says.
“They will use thermal imaging drones, infrared cameras and a hydrophone to detect underwater sounds in the murky waters of the lake.they said from the Loch Ness Center. It is the largest study in search of the monster in the last 50 years.
Rather than finding a creature, they aim to “inspire a new generation of Loch Ness enthusiasts,” said Alan McKenna of the Loch Ness Centre.
The researchers are “looking for cracks in the surface and asking volunteers to record all kinds of natural behavior in the lake. Not all waves are beasts. Some of them can be explained, but there are others that can’t,” adds McKenna.
The monster has been the subject of numerous sightings over the centuries, but has never been conclusively captured or photographed.
Loch Ness is a popular tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors each year. The lake is accessible by road and rail, and there are a number of companies offering boat trips and other tourist services.
