Last Thursday, February 29, the new wagons arrived that will run on the Line 4 of the Jalisco Light Rail, revealed Enrique Alfaro, governor of the state. According to his statements, this occurs after fourteen years of civil demands to have a means of mass transportation south of Guadalajara and in Tlajomulco.
The units are white with orange stripes on the outside and inside they have orange seats for the general public and yellow for people with disabilities or older adults. They were also signposted with the eight stations along the route of Line 4 of the Jalisco Light Rail.
Currently, the construction of Line 4 is at 50%, so it is expected to begin operating from the second half of 2024.
The length of the new Light Train is 21.1 km and will have connection with the municipalities of Tlajomulco, Tlaquepaque and Guadalajara. It will run at ground level with eight stations that it is expected to cover in 35 minutes:
