When it comes to choice-based narratives in games, many fans will point to titles like The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, and Life is Strange as some of the key releases that define that genre.
Created by French developer Don’t Nod Entertainment and published by Square Enix, Life is Strange It proved to be a unique story about a girl with superpowers to manipulate time who has to use those abilities to save the people around her and the small town of Arcadia Bay.
Released in 2015, the game sold well enough to earn a prequel in Life is Strange: Before the Storm, which was released two years later. Compared to the first game, Before the Storm did not garner as many rave reviews, but both titles were considered detailed and engaging stories by fans and critics alike.
The original Life is Strange and Before the Storm have been collected into a new installment announced in 2021, titled Life is Strange: Remastered Collection. And although this collection suffered some delays, it went on sale on February 1, 2022 for Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
However, the Switch version of this remaster suffered another delay until 2022. Now, a new release date has been set for the Switch version of Life is Strange: Remastered Collection. Fans will be able to play both titles in the collection on September 27, 2022being available both in physical and digital version.
Although the Switch version of the Life is Strange remasters has suffered from a long delay compared to releases on other consoles, hopefully the new features have made the wait worthwhile. At least fans will be able to decide for themselves when the games finally launch later this year.
Life is Strange: Arcadia Bay Collection will be available on September 27 on Nintendo Switch.
