LEGO and Nintendo They keep their collaboration alive with the launch of a new and unexpected piece of their attractive and curious line dedicated to the universe of Super Mario games, now adding the iconic piranha plant.
When both companies announced their alliance, back in March 2020, no one knew exactly what to expect, until we saw the first video of that legendary set of LEGO Super Mario. Where we saw how the world of the most classic games was transferred to this series of toy blocks.
Unfortunately, a few days after revealing this impressive product, the entire world had to enter that historic and prolonged period of social isolation that produced a relative economic recession for many.
Which most likely ended up impacting the commercial performance of the collectible item that also functions as a game element.
The good news is that both companies have been working together for three years to launch a new piece from time to time for this family of blocks dedicated to the most popular plumber on the planet.
At this point, practically the entire main cast of the franchise has already been covered and now it is the turn of some of the most colorful villains.
The piranha plant from Super Mario Bros. comes to the LEGO universe
At the site of the official store of LEGO The purchase option for its newest product has just been released, the Piranha Plant, which, as its name indicates, is nothing more than a brutal LEGO piece made up of hundreds of blocks to give shape to the unmistakable character.
The peculiarity of this new article is that it is made up of 540 pieces, it is relatively voluminous and given its qualities it is recommended for people over 18 years of age.
The model itself is impressive thanks to its highly detailed appearance, which is also fully articulated, as the set allows you to move the mouth, leaves and stem of the piranha plant to create a variety of poses.
Interestingly, the Piranha Plant’s body can sway from side to side, similar to how it moves in the Super Mario games.
But its design seems inspired by its appearance from the original NES games. Which makes it a more than special item for the nostalgic.
This LEGO piece will cost USD $60 and will go on sale until November 6, 2023. But it is possible to reserve our piece if we are within a territory eligible for its distribution.
