An announcement of Grand Theft Auto VI but Rockstar Games still does not present it officially. However, an alleged leak details nearly every aspect of GTA 6including the game’s new search system and how the police work compared to previous installments.
According to the alleged leak, Grand Theft Auto VI would have 3 protagonists named Ricardo, Casey and Rose, of which the last one is a VCPD police officer. Thanks to this, the search system and the way the police work works differently depending on which characters you use. The first detail mentioned in the leak is that the search system with 6 stars is back, leaving behind the 5 of GTA: V.
- 1 star: The authorities will try to stop you to give you a ticket, although it may be possible to speak up to convince the officers to let you go.
- 2 stars: The officers chase you but they don’t hurt you.
- 3 star: The police are trying to arrest you and will use deadly force if necessary.
- 4 stars: The police will try to assassinate you.
- 5 stars: Increase police presence.
- 6 stars: NOOSE and the FIB get involved and try to take you down by any means possible.
Also: 6 features of Nissan e-power technology that explain how it works.
According to the leak, police units include (but are not limited to) dogs, tear gas, riot shields, and advanced combat tactics, such as perimeters around crime scenes. As in previous games in GTA 6 it would be possible to hear details of your crimes on the radio or TV, but this time the police will carry out investigations to find you.
Police reportedly set up a perimeter around high crime areas for the next 6 hours, in which police officers can be seen questioning witnesses and suspects. If you return to the crime scene within this time you receive a wanted star and are questioned by the cops, but if you try to escape the wanted level will continue to increase.
It is also possible to avoid the attention of the police, even when being questioned, causing them to thank you and turn their attention elsewhere. However, when playing as Rose it would be possible to call the cops away from a crime scene, even one you just recently committed.
If the police can’t find you they will set up a perimeter around the area you were last seen in, and the size of this perimeter depends on your last wanted level and whether you were walking or driving. When this happens, the police set up roadblocks and check every car that tries to pass through, after which they start checking parked vehicles.
A Take-Two Interactive patent seemed to indicate that the next Grand Theft Auto would have a revolutionary AI traffic system, which would bring more realistic behavior to the vehicles in the game. If we add to that the new behavior of the authorities, it seems that the most immersive Grand Theft Auto to date with GTA 6 awaits us.
