Mexico recorded the second case of monkeypox in Mexico City, confirmed the undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell.
“I share that the InDRE has confirmed a second case of monkeypox in Mexico City. The patient is stable, receives medical care and isolation and control measures have been established, ”said the federal official on his Twitter account.
On May 28, López Gatell himself announced the first declared case in Mexico of this condition.
It was a 50-year-old man who, it was said, habitually resides in New York and who probably contracted it in the Netherlands.
