Fratelli Banlieue, a musical group formed by friends and neighbors Jim De Banlieue and Elia Banlieue, began their journey into the world of music in 2018, initially exploring street rap. However, as the years passed, their musical horizons expanded, leading them to venture into other genres. One of these new musical adventures led them to be inspired by the performance on the field of Gianluca Lapadula, the outstanding forward of the Peruvian National Team, who became a source of inspiration for them due to his commitment and dedication wearing the ‘Rossoblu’ shirt. ‘.
sport had the opportunity to chat with Jim to learn more about “Lapadula”, his new hit that will be released on all platforms starting this September 15. The artist shared his motivations for creating the song, the meaning behind the composition and revealed that the number ‘9’ striker is aware of the entire project and has been deeply excited and grateful for this musical dedication.
“The inspiration behind this song arose from the presence of Gianluca Lapadula as a player in Cagliari Calcio, our city team. His impressive performances and goals were instrumental in our team’s promotion from Serie B to Serie A. Given the positive impact that Lapadula had on our city and the team, we felt the need to express our gratitude and admiration through this song in tribute form. Lapadula represents revenge, he is a man who fights and fought for our colors. And we must also follow the example”he claimed.
“Through the lyrics of our song, we seek to convey a feeling of hope, especially for all the children of Cagliari who seek to improve themselves. “We want the whole world to understand that we are here, contributing every day to take our city to the podium, just like Gianluca Lapadula”he added.
In addition, Jim shared that they managed to approach Gianluca Lapadula through a representative of Cagliari, who was kind enough to show the song to the footballer. Lapadula was completely fascinated and very happy with the song. They hope that after the launch, a meeting with our compatriot can be coordinated.
“Lapadula is fully informed about the song we have created in his honour, and this was made possible thanks to Cagliari’s social media manager. After sending him an email, the social media manager shared the song with Lapadula and happily informed us that the player is delighted with the song and enjoyed it a lot. Although unfortunately we have not yet had the opportunity to meet Gianluca Lapadula in person, we are hopeful that, following the release of the song, the possibility of meeting in person may arise.”
