The Lada Vesta, one of the best-selling cars in Russia, has reached an important production milestone. Lada has announced the production of the 600,000 unit of the Vesta. A copy that has been manufactured in the Izhevsk facilities and that will not remain in Russian territory. It will be exported.
Lada has announced an important milestone in the production of one of its most popular models. The Lada Vesta production has reached 600,000 units. The example that marks this important result recently left the assembly line of Lada’s vehicle production center in Izhevsk, a city located west of the Ural Mountains.
The unit 600,000 corresponds to a Lada Vesta SW Cross with the body painted in blue and with the Black package that gives the roof and the exterior mirror housings a gloss black finish. Regarding the mechanical section, under its hood is a 1.6-liter gasoline engine that develops a power of 106 hp and is associated with a manual gearbox.
The 600,000th Lada Vesta won’t stay in Russia
Another key to this commemorative unit is that, unlike what might be expected at first, it will not be destined for Russian territory. It will be destined for export. A true nod to the international expansion process that Lada has launched. The Vesta number 600,000 will be exported to the Republic of Belarus. More specifically to the Lada dealership located in Gomel.
The Vesta SW Cross production started in 2017 and to date more than 100,000 units of this “crossoverized” variant have been built on the basis of the Lada Vesta SW, the family model. The Vesta range is made up of many variants and / or versions. To the own Vesta with sedan-type body we must add the following models: Vesta Cross, Vesta SW, Vesta SW Cross, Vesta Sport and Vesta GNC.
Lada Vesta sales in Russia
At present the Vesta can boast of being one of the best-selling cars, and by far, in Russia. A true bestseller on which much of the Lada range is based. What’s more, during the month of August 2021 it was able to snatch the title of best-selling car from the almighty Lada Granta. So far this year the registrations of the Vesta have reached 74,136, which places it in second position.
During the turbulent year 2020 marked by the pandemic, sales of the Vesta in Russia reached 107,281 units, being the second best-selling car and only surpassed by the aforementioned Granta.
