Pokémon is one of the most profitable franchises worldwide and it is not for less, since it has presented us with its amazing creatures for decades, in which fans have marveled at all kinds of Merch related to Pokémon, as well as its popular Game of Pokémon Trading Cards.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that a sinister threat hovers over the new expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Sword and Shield-Lost Origin. Your cards can now end up in the Lost Zone, an abyss they can’t get out of. Players will be able to use the Lost Zone to their advantage.

This expansion includes new Pokémon Radiant, plus Pokémon V-ASTRO and Pokémon V, and a massive Pokémon VMAX, along with 30 specially-art cards in the Trainers Gallery subset. Take a first look at some of the exciting new cards you’ll find in the next expansion.
KyuremVMAX
The Lost Zone forms the backbone of Sword & Shield-Lost Origin, but Kyurem VMAX proves that there are a lot of creepy cards in this set that don’t interact with the Lost Zone at all. Kyurem VMAX features the Frozen World Ability, which allows you to discard the top card of your deck and, if it’s a Water Energy card, attach it to one of your Pokémon.
This is especially useful thanks to its powerful attack, Max Frost, which does 120 damage, plus an additional 50 for each Water Energy you discard when using the attack. This allows you to deal damage to your opponent’s Pokémon without discarding Energy or immobilizing them with Frost using a gradual, non-stop attack that can Knock Out any Pokémon in one hit.
Machamp
Pokémon that give out multiple Prize cards are usually the standard bearers of the Pokémon TCG, but this Machamp gets big and beefy thanks to its Muscle Crisis ability. When your opponent has three or fewer Prize cards left, Machamp gains 150 HP, making it almost as big as the strongest of the VMAX Pokémon and bigger than any V-ASTRO Pokémon. Additionally, he hits hard with his Strong Arms Lasso attack for 200 damage.
Machamp shines especially brightly in the Gym Leader Challenge, an alternate Pokémon TCG format that only allows Pokémon to be used without a rule box. Once your opponent has three Prize cards left, Machamp will likely become the most herculean and muscular Pokémon on the board, making it very difficult for a single-Prize Pokémon to defeat.
Hisui’s Arcanine
Hisui’s Arcanine has a unique attack, Very Vulnerable, which can deal a whopping 160 damage and doesn’t need any Energy; yes, to be able to impart all the damage, you will not be able to have any card in your hand. Hand size is important in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and while this may seem like a daunting requirement, cards like Speed Ball, Ultra Ball, and even Cramobot provide plenty of options for clearing your hand of cards.
It’s also unsettling to play the next turn with few cards in your hand, but Radiant Venusaur’s Sunny Bloom ability allows you to draw cards until you have four cards after using the attack, making it more likely that you’ll gather everything you need and be able to cast! the full blow!
