La Liga Group, the entity that organizes and directs the professional soccer league in Spain and all its subsidiaries, announced in the middle of the month that, lreached an agreement with the Korean company TVM to be the official sponsor of LaLiga in the Metaverse and its partner in the development of an exclusive space in it for the Spanish sports organization.
The agreement, which has an initial duration of two and a half years, has an extension option. It will also allow La Liga, with the support of TVM, to have an exclusive space in Triverse, the Metaverse of sport, that is, a virtual world of augmented reality, focused on the fan experience, and where partners are also integrated within Triverse, and sports properties with new channels to communicate and interact with fans and users.
Jorge de la Vega, Commercial and Marketing Director of LaLigadetailed about the agreement that LaLiga has always looked for new ways to offer a better product to a global audience, and for this reason, a process that needs to have the best partners. “The agreement with TVM as a global partner is proof of this, which will allow us to reach an ecosystem with unparalleled potential such as the metaverse”He expressed through an official statement.
On the other hand, Yoon Chul Kim, Vice President of TVMhighlighted that integration into the metaverse was the next step in digital transformation and one of the best ways to successfully deliver digital sports content to users.
In this same sense, Josh Kim, Managing Director of TVM clarified that the reward system in Triverse will revolve around NFTs, since for them, blockchain technology and NFTs go hand in hand. “Naturally, we will have our own NFT trading platform. Users will come together as fans of a particular sports property, and they will have to spend time and energy building their city of fans. At some point, they will be able to see and compare how their city of fans has performed compared to other cities.”commented.
