Why did Mitsuri’s hair color change?
What happened for Mitsuri’s hair to undergo such a drastic change? The answer is found in an episode that explores Mitsuri’s memories with his family. In one scene, her hair color changes to pink and green due to her fondness for eating sakura mochi, her favorite dessert since she was little.
This gluttony led her to experience tremendous muscle growth, making her a formidable swordswoman with impressive physical stamina, capable of defeating adults despite her young age.
However, despite the physical benefits he gained, the hair color change wasn’t something Mitsuri was excited about. In fact, at times she had to dye her hair to avoid being rejected due to its flashy color.
Over time, however, Mitsuri accepted and embraced her new hair colors.without feeling any complex about it while fulfilling his demon hunting missions.
But the hair color change wasn’t the only surprise that Mitsuri revealed to us through her memories. Her close relationship with Obanai Iguro, the mysterious Pillar of Serpents, was also revealed.
