Unfortunately, it has been revealed that Kazuki Takahashi, mangaka responsible for creating Yu-Gi-Oh!has died at the age of 60. The artist’s body was found floating in waters off the coast of Nago City, Okinawa Island, by the Japan Coast Guard on Wednesday morning, July 6.
Due to the strange situation surrounding his death, the police are still investigating, and at the moment there is no reason for his death. Takahashi was born in Tokyo, Japan, on October 4, 1961. Although his career as a mangaka began in 1982, it was not until 1990 that he managed to publish his first work as an author, fighting hawk.
However, it was not until 1996 that he created Yu-Gi-Oh!a series that ran until 2004. Along with the popular manga, this story was adapted to anime, it had several video games and, of course, he had his own trading card game that took over the world.
Takahashi continued to work on Yu-Gi-Oh! throughout the yearsand was recently responsible for the story of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensionsan anime film that hit theaters in Japan in 2017.
