The now infamous rapper kanye-west was escorted out of the Skechers offices in Los Angeles on Thursday. The musician now known as Ye arrived unannounced and uninvited with a film crew at the building.
According to a company statement, two Skechers executives escorted Kanye West away after a brief conversation because he “engaged in unauthorized filming.”
“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” the company said. “We condemn his recent divisive comments and do not tolerate anti-Semitism or any other form of hate speech.”
Kanye West’s fortune collapses
Skechers is just the latest of companies and brands to cut ties with Ye due to his anti-Semitic comments. This same Thursday, the fitness brand Peloton announced that it will no longer include its music in its classes.
“Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take this issue very seriously and can confirm that Peloton has indefinitely paused the use of Kanye West’s music on our platform. This means that our instructors no longer use his music in any newly produced classes, and we are not suggesting any classes that include his music in our proactive recommendations to members.”
