Jon Ham still interested in playing the super villain of the X Men Mister Sinister, now as part of what Marvel Studios does with the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor confirmed several times that he almost played the mutant in the new mutants via a cameo in a post-credits scene, and was later to have a larger role in Channing Tatum’s Gambit movie.
Now, in a new interview, Hamm said he would be completely open to the possibility of bringing the character back for a MCU debut.
That franchise, it’s weird to talk about it like that, but I was a big fan of the comics as a kid, of the ’80s X-Men. And it still is. It’s an interesting and cool story about wanting a better world.
I think what they’ve been able to do, and what I think their plans are, and I’ve talked to people who are planning this kind of thing, with how they’re expanding these stories, and the judgment with which they’re presenting these stories, is really going back to the old fashion of how comics were presented.
It’s kind of like the most recent Spider-Man, which is a cool iteration of that idea of the Multiverse and what happens, and how three things can exist at the same time, it’s very creative. The way they use that creativity is something I would of course be happy to be a part of.
