Tomorrow we can finally get hold of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, the Review for PS5 and PS4 of Jin Sakai’s Adventure. From Sucker Punch they offer us new content, such as an expansion on the island of Iki full of mysterious adventures.
However, it will be the users of Sony’s next-generation console who will receive more news. The title is updated with different functions for DualSense or 3D audio, as well as graphic adjustments, inviting us to try it one more time. Therefore, the Bit Analyst has made a comparison so that we can see exactly what has changed.
First of all, it is key to be clear about the resolutions on the different consoles, at the same time as your frame rate. The result is as follows:
- PS4: 1080p / 30FPS.
- PS4 Pro: 1800p / 30FPS or 1080p / 60FPS.
- PS5 (PS4 version): 1800p / 60FPS.
- PS5: 2160p / 60FPS or 1800p / 60FPS.
Among the details highlighted by The Bit Analyst we find that the native version for PS5 has exponentially increased the effects of particles or smoke. Shadows have also been improved, projecting more than normal, both on PS4 and PS5.
Of course, both its resolution and the rendering distance in the shadows themselves have not undergone changes. In the same sense, there are aspects such as textures, reflections, draw distance and anisotropic filtering on PS5, which remain the same. Vegetation is one of the most important points in Ghost of Tsushima and in this case its size and light reflection have been modified.
Thanks to the features of the PS5, loading times are practically non-existent, reducing to just a couple of seconds. On the other hand, lip sync has been included for Japanese voices, increasing the immersion with that option. Remember that Legends, the multiplayer mode, can be purchased separately if we wish.
