The arrival on the scene of the new Jeep Avenger sets a turning point. It symbolizes the beginning (in Europe) of the process of transforming Jeep into a brand of battery electric cars. Jeep has set itself the ambitious goal of being the great benchmark in the emerging electric SUV market.
Although all eyes are on the new Avenger, another novelty has been presented in parallel that is directly related to this small SUV that in 2023 we can find in our dealerships. Its about Jeep Avenger 4×4 Concept. A conceptual model through which Jeep shows the possibilities of electric all wheel drive.
Jeep Avenger 4×4 Concept, prepared for the electric age
Christian Meunier, CEO of Jeep, has made it clear that the new Avenger has been conceived from the beginning as a front-wheel drive model and that, despite its status as an electric vehicle, it offers some of the best capabilities in its category. However, and in the words of Meunier, it was impossible not to wonder what would happen if the Avenger had electric all-wheel drive.
The new Avenger 4×4 Concept is the answer to that question. It combines design, capacity and innovation in a compact body size. Jeep ensures that this newcomer will be added to the 4xe range to come in the futureso we must not close the door so that, in the near future, the Avenger range will be expanded with an electric all-wheel drive version.
Just take a quick look at the images to discover the characteristic features of the new Avenger 4×4 Concept. Some design elements that set it apart from a conventional Avenger. It is equipped with tow hooks, fenders and wider tracks. It also has bigger tires. The approach angle has been improved to 21 degrees, while the departure angle reaches 34 degrees. The ground clearance exceeds the 200 mm barrier.

Jeep has not given details about the electric powertrain. However, we can assume that it is equipped with two motors, one per axis. The new Avenger that has just been presented is equipped with a 54 kWh battery that powers a 115 kW (156 hp) motor and 260 Nm of maximum torque. It features a front-wheel drive configuration and offers a range of 400 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle.
