The successful anime franchise that started in the 1970s, Gundama universe that has seen some of the coolest and most original products, which for decades after its debut, is part of the streets of the country that saw it become a legend not only within anime, but within Eastern culture.
Since now, the country of Japan is once again stepping into the world of Mobile Suit Gundam in a new and unique way, with the Gundam Sewers Project, called Gundam Manholein which the manhole covers get original art featuring some of the biggest robots from the anime series, and now that some of the manholes have been installed Gundam in Mibu City, Tochigi Prefecture, and the manholes will be displayed in Japan on the Mibumachi Toy Museum of the April 29 to May 8, and taking advantage of the framework of this event, the sewers were donated on April 20 to Japan, which shows that the anime franchise has one of the largest fandoms in the Japanese country. The official description of Gundam Manhole Project says so:
“The Gundam Manhole Project is an initiative to install Gundam Manhole manhole covers designed with characters and mobile suits featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam series in various locations around the country. We will work with local governments to revitalize the country and test the link between the Gundam and Gundam fans across generations. In addition, following Odawara City and Sagamihara City, we are also soliciting requests and inquiries from local governments (municipalities and other government agencies) who are considering future facilities.”

The designs of these culverts Gundam use the art style of the original series, which will arrive in a unique way later this year with the new film that will adapt the story of the “lost episode” from the series Mobile Suit: Gundam.
