Hellraiser, the original Clive Baker film, was released almost four decades ago, so, by Hollywood rules, it’s time to bring the story back to make it visible to our times. The platform Hulu took the lead and announced a new version full of horror. Now they announce more details about the cast.
Actress Jamie Clayton (Sense8) uploaded an image to his account Twitter where it appeared showing an iconic artifact from the original film along with a message that said “demons for some, angels for others”, followed by the hashtag #Hellraiser.

As noted Deadline, Hulu and Spyglass Media Group confirmed this news along with the announcement of the end of part of the filming, so it is already certain that Clayton will play the role of Pinhead (previously played only by male actors), a demon who became the main villain in the original Clive Baker story.

In addition, the rest of the cast was also announced, which is made up of Odessa A’zion (Grand Army), Brandon flynn (Ratched), Goran Visnjic (The Boys) Drew starkey (Outer Banks), Adam Faison (Into the dark), Aoife Hinds (Normal People) and Hiam Abbass (Blade Runner 2049).
The film will be directed by David bruckner (The Ritual, The Night House) and written by Ben collins and Luke piotrowski (The Night House). It was also recently known that the director of the original tape and creator of the novel, Clive Baker, would be part of the team of this new remake.
“It has been a great honor to have Clive on board to guide us through the incredible universe that he created so long ago. Combined with a courageous and committed cast, which includes the incredible Jamie Clayton. Our goal is to create a very special new chapter in Hellraiser’s legacy. ” said Bruckner in an interview for the medium Collider.
Further information is unknown, but it is anticipated that this new version of Hellraiser It will premiere in late 2022.
