Fairchild 1869 It is a bar with a great proposal in the Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City, which is inspired by David Fairchild, an American explorer and botanist who traveled the world for 37 years and studied more than 200 thousand roots, fruits and spices. It is with this base and natural ingredients that this modern bar presents six cocktails inspired by “No time to die”.
The main characters such as: Nomi, Q, Madeleine, Safin, Paloma and clearly James Bond are represented with the best of cocktails in the Fairchild 1869.
Erik Lorincz, the mixologist behind the filming of this James Bond movie, spoke of the remarkable characteristics of the mixology in the personality of Bond. “Their iconic shaken, non-stirred martini drink is perfectly arranged as a tailor-made suit for Bond, because the shaken martini is crisp, dry, strong, it’s a sophisticated drink and that’s what Bond is all about,” says the beverage specialist.
I couldn’t imagine Bond drinking anything other than a vodka martini
This is the secret of Bond’s unique instruction in ordering his popular martini. “When you drink a martini shaken, you are basically lowering the temperature more than when a martini is shaken. For example, once you shake the martini, the temperature drops to about minus eight degrees. (-8º), if you stir a martini it will only be at zero degrees (0º) so it’s very cold and that’s how Bond likes it, “explains Lorincz.
“Obviously, if you stir it instead of shaking it, it would not fit in with the agent who has the license to kill,” said the mixologist.
This novelty on the menu will be available throughout the month of October at this bar in Mexico City. On Life and Style We had the opportunity to experience the flavors and the technique of the mixologists, who in a bohemian and modern environment lead you to have another feeling of “No time to die”.
