All the previous rumors have turned out to be true, the Japanese corporation is planning to resurrect the Integra denomination with a new compact size model included in the Acura seal offering and this brief teaser of its headlights is the first image we have of the model.
A main optics and just a piece of front grille have been more than enough to confirm the rebirth of one of the most longed-for models of the Japanese manufacturer, the Honda Integra, which in the North American market it was marketed with the Acura emblems, the premium sub-brand of the Japanese manufacturer.
Our readers will not be able to say that this takes them by surprise, because in recent times we have echoed several reports from reliable sources that precisely claimed that the Japanese house intended to launch a new model with a sporty cut and compact size with this classic name. Reports that as is evident were correct.
The Honda / Acura Integra was a coupe based on the Honda Civic platform that was available in various markets under the various brands of the Japanese company, although in North America only available with Acura emblems. The announcement of the new model has been on US soil and therefore will continue to be part of the catalog of Honda’s premium division.
Nature
The only thing we know about the model so far is that it will be a new alternative with the same sporty and dynamic spirit of the original Integra, although we cannot confirm that it will remain a coupe, since the company has limited itself to saying that the model will be compact in size. So instead of a conventional 2-door coupe it could be a more stylish 4-door sedan in the style of the Mercedes CLA-Class.
At the moment the Japanese firm has limited itself to presenting this first image of the front, in which we only see the optics and part of the front grill, which are unequivocally belonging to an Acura model, as it shares design language with the latest releases of this seal. The presentation date of the model has not been revealed but the company assures that it will be presented next year, so several months of teasers and announcements await us.
