Undoubtedly, Remedy he’s working on something big. Last year they confirmed that they were creating the Remedy Connected Universe, which would allow them to ensure that all their games were intertwined. It all started with mentions of Alan Wake within the campaign of Control, before it eventually had its own expansion as well. With Alan Wake Remastered right around the corner, it looks like the studio has a couple of aces up its sleeve.
In an interview with Axios, Thomas Puah, Director of Communication for the game, spoke about some of the changes that we will see in this remastered version. So far we knew about some of the differences, such as that they would remove the markings from the batteries, but what you are about to read sounds like something much more interesting.
When asked about the possibility that Alan Wake Remastered was modified to have connection with other titles of Remedy, Puah responded with the following:
“You should definitely pay attention when you play the remaster, that’s all I’m going to say.”
That certainly sounds like a sneak peek for a possible crossover buried within the game, although these are probably just new collectibles. Everything indicates that Alan Wake Remastered will serve for Remedy may familiarize audiences with the character and his story, before eventually releasing his potential sequel.
Alan Wake Remastered will debut next October 5th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC.
