At first glance it can be a bit confusing and it will look like a bicycle to some people and a scooter to others. However, the absence of pedals solves the mystery and makes you want to delve a little deeper into this Vinghen Ti1.
vinghen is one of the micromobility companies founded in recent years with the intention of expanding in the electric vehicle market. In this case, Tsvetan Iliev and Deniz Tourgout devised a different product than the existing one. And, after two years of work, they presented it to the world in April 2019.
Now it is a reality and can be bought, but before reaching that point we are going to delve a little into its qualities and characteristics.
This is the Vinghen Ti1
Even if it has bicycle wheels, remember, we are talking about a electric scooter and not from an eBike.
Therefore, the tubular aluminum frame does not have pedals, although it does have a 500W rear hub motor rated power. Said engine is capable of providing a maximum speed of 30 km/h, but the brand will adapt each model to its country of destination to ensure that it complies with the regulations.
This is the most particular scooter of recent times: the Vinghen Ti1.
Back to the wheels the front is 26 inches and the slightly smaller rear, 20 inches. This, in the bicycle world, is known as a “Mullet” and, in this specific case, it allows for more damping and stability at the front and more space at the rear. Also, their thickness is reminiscent of Fat Bikes, as if the Ti1 wasn’t peculiar enough.
For its part, the battery has a capacity of 720 Wh, which allows the Ti1 to cover up to 50 kilometers on a single charge. The handlebar is bicycle and the disc brakes will be hydraulic or mechanical depending on the configuration and the buyer can choose between 10 colors.
Price and availability of the Vinghen Ti1
The qualities and characteristics of the Vinghen are more typical of an electric bicycle in many cases and the price is no exception.
There are several purchase options for this peculiar electric scooter, starting with the access (Super Early Bird) in the €1,229 thanks to a ticket offer with 23% discount. The IG Special version is a little more expensive and goes up to 1,434 euros, while the top of the range with carbon fiber parts and LiteMove lighting system costs 1,742 euros.
All of them can be purchased at indiegogo.com and shipments are scheduled for March 2023.
