The television offers of the different pay TV operators in our country present many contrasts, but also many similarities. Movistar or Orange opt for larger packages that can be customized by adding different smaller modules. Vodafone is directly committed to a more modular construction thanks to different thematic content packages, in addition to allowing the addition of some individual channels. Precisely, we have been struck by the fact that one of Vodafone’s on-demand channels has to be paid, despite being incorporated into other platforms and not have mass content.
Vodafone television is built through packages, being basic to have any of the following to add those that we will see below:
- Seriefans Pack: all series from HBO Spain, FOXNOW and AXN Now together with TNT, Calle 13, Comedy Central, Cosmo, SYFY, XTRM, FOX, FOX Life, AXN, AXN WHITE and AMC for 10 euros.
- Familyfans Pack: Disney +, Disney Jr, BabyTV, Nick Jr, Canal Panda, My Nick Jr, Nickelodeon for 11 euros.
- Serielovers Pack: Seriefans and Amazon Prime for 14 euros per month.
- Familylovers Pack: Familyfans and Amazon Prime for 15 euros per month.
- Cinefans Pack: TCM, SOMOS, Movistar Estrenos, FILMIN, DARK and Canal Hollywood for 12 euros.
- Documentary Pack: History, Odyssey, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Wild, Travel, Crime and Investigation, Blaze and My Zen TV for 8 euros.
Pay to watch Baby TV? Yes, on Vodafone
With these channels, we can now add More Series, Sports Pack, Music Pack, Universal Pack, Caz Pack or Adult Pack, as well as some individual channels. One of those on-demand channels is Baby tv, children’s television channel for babies and children under 3 years of age. The funny thing about this channel is that we have to pay to see it and not a symbolic amount. The price will be 3.63 euros per month.
To give us an idea, in Movistar this channel is free while, in Orange, the Children’s Max package costs 3 euros and includes three channels (Canal Panda, Lolly Kids or Cartoon Network). It is also curious that it is almost the same matter that it costs us to subscribe to ATRESPlayer Premium, a platform that gives us access to hundreds of content and anticipated releases.
It is clear that each one defines their offer based on agreements and strategies, but it is shocking to see how Baby TV is an on-demand channel. In the same way, it is shocking to see that Movistar He charges us 5 euros for Stingray Classica and another 5 euros for Mezzo, when his rivals pack them for less money and more advantages.
