Is a Joker sequel possible?
Joker was a film that captivated critics and fans of the clown prince of crime, placing it as the highest grossing adult-rated film in history.
As SMASH reported weeks ago, Todd Phillips pointed out that there are conditions that the Joker sequel must have in order for it to become a reality.
“It would have to have a true thematic resonance. as did this one, ultimately, about childhood trauma and lack of love, and loss of empathy. All of those things are really what made this movie work for us, so we would have to have something that had equal thematic resonance.”.
Joker is available in home video formats, as well as digital platforms like HBO Max.
