Christofer Sundbergco-founder of Avalanche Studiostalked about the cancellation of his game Hombre de Hierro with MinnMax in a recent interview. Sundberg made some interesting remarks explaining that the game was in development for about two years before it was eventually cancelled. When asked why exactly the project didn’t see the light of day, he replied that it all boiled down to the company’s line of thinking at the time.
Sundberg He claimed that everything ended up being a disaster and that Disney wanted to shorten the development time by increasing the budget with which Avalanche Studios I had to work. These were some of his words regarding the cancellation of the video game Hombre de Hierro:
We would have to hire seventy or eighty people to be able to form a team. Team in which I would have been responsible for the project finally being carried out. But the development time was shortened so much that it ended up being an impossible task. At the end of the project, when the team was downsizing, you realize that you have to look for other alternatives. After a year of development time cut from the plan, I had a difficult task finding a new project for a large development team. This would have been impossible if we had remained focused on Hombre de Hierro.
The alleged video game starring Hombre de Hierro was in development more than a decade ago, so the memory it has Sundberg about the title is somewhat confusing. However, he noted that the game would have focused heavily on melee combat, as well as the game’s most iconic features. Hombre de Hierrolike being able to use his entire arsenal and fly across the world.
